I wanted a fun different way to display my pictures and what better place to turn for ideas than Pinterest! So, I found something similar to this and put my own spin on it. My husband owns his own cabinet business, so I'm pretty lucky when it comes to wood projects...honestly, it doesn't have to be wood related- I think he can do it all! :) Can you tell I'm a proud wife?!?! Our little girls spent a few days with their Nana and PopPop so I went out to Heath's shop to make these. We could've used old barn wood, but pallets worked great. He used a special saw with a long thin blade to cut the boards off of the top of the pallets. The blade allowed him to cut straight through the old nails. Saws All I think. After that, he drilled a flat thin piece of wood on the back to hold them altogether. It was a 1/4 scrap wood. I realize I should know all of these terms dealing with wood and saws and such...too much to remember. When I got the boards home I used my Cameo Silhouette to make vinyl letters for the top. I just hot glued clothes pins on. The pictures on the "Blessed" board were all printed from a company called Print Studio. The quality and service are amazing! I was so pleased with this company! My sweet friend and her husband Sean came over that night for dinner, so she and I finished them up together. It was a fun crafting project and of course we made her one too! Since we used a smaller display for her, we used mini clothes pins rather than the large ones.
